The Henry County Sheriff’s Office partnered with the Henry County Substance Abuse Coalition sponsored a Text-A-Tip poster contest for Mt. Pleasant Community High School Students. Text-A-Tip is a way for community members to anonymously report illegal activity. If someone sees or hears about suspicious activity; such as underage drinking, drug use, theft etc, they can text a tip to 319-931-3667. The person texting the tip must include the location, date and time in order for law enforcement to investigate. It is a non-emergency number meant for texting only and phone calls will not be answered. The anonymous texts are received at the Henry County Sheriff’s office. The first place winner is Michelle Robledo. She will receive $100 for her entry. Lauren Brousseau and Emily Folker will each receive $25 for their entries. All three posters will be displayed at the high school and around the community. If you have any questions about Text-A-Tip you may contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at 319-385-2712.
