Dallas Dean Dunbar

Dallas Dean Dunbar, age 71 of Wyman, died March 7, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. The son of Boyd and Jean (Martin) Dunbar, he was born July 4, 1942 in Washington county. He attended the Keota school. He was a lifelong trucker, currently working for Kenny and Michelle Stone trucking in Wapello. He enjoyed his dogs like family, riding his Harley, NASCAR, and spending time with his family. He was a firecracker up to the end.

Survivors include: three daughters; Jeanne and Randy Thiede of Woodstock, Illinois; Diane Dunbar of Iowa City; Misty Dawn and Nathan Graber of Wyman; two sons; Anthony and Tracy Dunbar of Winfield; Timothy and Joyce Dunbar of Wyman; 16 grand younguns and 9 great grand younguns; two brothers, Allen Dunbar of CT; Glenn Dunbar; He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Gladys, his wife of 26 years Donna Flake Dunbar, and two daughters, little Pattie and Deana Marie Dunbar, his dogs Peanut and Cheyenne.

The funeral service will be Thursday March 13, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Winfield, with Rev. Randy Moser officiating. Interment will follow at the Crawfordsville Cemetery.

Visitation with the family present will be Wednesday from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Honts Funeral Home in Winfield. A general memorial has been established.
