The hospitalist program at the Henry County Health Center will be under the direction full time ,of Dr. Ryon beginning in early September, he will be assisted by the new Nurse Practitioner Katie Reuter.. The HCHC Board of Directors were informed of that move at their regular meeting Tuesday. The board also voted to approve the strategic plan after C.E.O. Robb Gardner explained the plan to them. They also voted to approve a by-law change that would move the July board meeting to the last Tuesday in July. They also approved three people to receive the Hobbie Award named after long time board member Waunita Hobbie. Former board member Rich Garrels and physicians Dr. Redlinger and Dr. Scott will be honored for their dedicated service to HCHC. Also they approved medical staff appointments and re-appointments as well as Medical staff by laws and rules and regulation amendments. Sally Olson was sworn in as a new member of the board to replace Rich Garrells who stepped down. The facility building project update showed cost over runs amount to only $271 at this time and a few items on the punch list and the radiology canopy are the only projects that need to be completed.
