STEM Academy “Science of Sound” Held

The Henry County Extension & Outreach Office held STEM Academy: Science of Sound on June 3rd. The academy was held at Saunder’s Park. Over 18 kindergarten and first graders attended the camp.

The participants enjoyed a day full of learning and experimenting with sounds. There were demonstrations of vibrations and a model of an ear drum. Lucas Lee presented his trumpet and bugle to the group. The participants decorated cardboard instruments and created homemade ones. They finished the day off with a performance using their musical instruments.

Leaders for the STEM Academy were Madison Pullis, Lauren Oschwald, Mikayla Brown, and Lucas Lee.
