Written by on July 18, 2014 in News

Contractors are making progress again on North Iris St. Shipley Contracting Poured the mainline of Iris St. South to just North of Commerce Dr. on Tuesday July 15th. Yesterday July 16th they poured the North half of Mapleleaf Dr. for connection to Iris St. and are pouring the colored crosswalk today July 17th. They will pouring the rest of the Mapleleaf Dr. connection on Friday July 18th and Monday July 21st.
JDM will be mobilize on Monday July 21st and start setting up the remaining Walmart driveway then Staats and Lomont Molding before they begin pouring the trail along the West side of Iris St. JDM’S work will take them a couple of weeks to complete. We are concentrating on getting all work done around the Mapleleaf Dr. & Iris St. intersection. We hope to have this intersection back open by the week of July 28th weather permitting.
We are hopeful to switch to phase 3 by the 1st week of August this will be from Commerce Dr. South to Just short of the RR tracks. We will be constructing temporary entrances at this time to ALANIZ & CECO. We will be building a temporary access from Commerce Dr. North to get onto the new pavement for access to the Crossroads Industrial Park the First week of August.
Cole Construction will be grading and backfilling for the trails and driveways in the coming week.
Once the Contractors start Phase 3 we will concentrate on getting the Commerce Dr. & Iris St. intersection poured. This will hopefully start taking place the 1st week of August. It should take approximately 1 week to complete the intersection.
Then we will open the intersection so all traffic entering or exiting the Crossroads Industrial Park will be on the new pavement traveling North on Iris St. to either Mapleleaf Dr. or on North to Winfield Ave.
No Detour changes will take place in the next week.
