The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Keokuk woman on felony drug charges

Carin Ann Ison, 31, of 2298 Carbide Lane, Keokuk, was taken into custody on July 18th at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office on felony drug charges. Ison is charged with Manufacture of Methamphetamine in Excess of 5 grams, a Class B Felony. If convicted, Ison faces up to 25 years in a state correctional facility.

The arrest of Ison stems from an investigation into information received that Ison was involved in the manufacture of methamphetamine. During the investigation a search warrant was executed and items supporting the charges were located.

The Lee County Attorney’s Office and the Keokuk Police Department assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.

The defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
