    Starr's Cave Insect Program

    Starr’s Cave presents an insect program. It’s a two-hour interactive program for 3 to 4 year olds. Children and a guardian will learn about them and the different types from Naturalist Katherine Brakeville. It will include a craft, story, hike and hands-on activities. It starts at 10 am and wraps up with a picnic lunch at 11:30. Cost is $5 per child. To register call 753-5808.

Kids games start at 1:30, the auction at 2:30 and the Bill Riley Talent Show at 3. Live music by Ned Francis will be from 5:30 to 8:30. A 5K is at 6:30 and movie in the park starts at 8:30.

    ISU Spring Field Day

    The annual Spring Field Day for ISU Extension will be held Thursday starting at 1 pm. The research farm is near Crawfordsville. There will be a tour and there will be four speakers covering a variety of topics. Available at 9 am is Certified Crop Advisor continuing education credits. Cost is $50 and includes lunch. There is no cost to attend the afternoon tours. Lunch is available for purchase for $5. Please register by noon today by calling 337-2145.

    Swedesburg’s annual Midsummer Celebration starts at 7 pm at the Parish Hall. The Scandinavian Quartet, four saxophonists from Sweden, will present the music program.
