    Show Choir Invitational At Central Lee High School

    The Central Lee Music Department, along with the Central Lee Music Boosters, will be hosting “Central Connections” Show Choir Invitational. The doors will open at 8:00 a.m. with the first performance at 10:00 a.m. The six highest scoring show choirs will be performing in the evening show, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
    Admission is $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for students, with children 5 and under free. All proceeds will go to the Central Lee Music programs.

    Gospel Music Festival to Benefit Historic Second Baptist Church

    Six local gospel groups will perform at a Gospel Music Festival at 2 pm at the First Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant. The groups that will be participating are Selah, the Tinders Group, Second Baptist Ministry, Bryan Katchay, Terry Hemsworth, and the John Hemsworth Family. The event is being organized by the Mount Pleasant Historic Preservation Commission as a fundraiser for repair of the roof of the historic Second Baptist Church, located at the corner of West Saunders and North Van Buren Streets. Free will donation will be accepted.
