Bonapare Cookie/Candy Walk

The annual Bonaparte Historical Society Cookie and Candy Walk will be held starting at 9 am at the Bonaparte Opera House. Proceeds go towards the upkeep of the Auntie Green Museum.

Calvary Baptist Christmas Cantata

Calvary Baptist Church Adult Choir presents “Three Gifts: Our Christmas Offering.” The Christmas Cantata will be held Saturday at 6:30 pm and Sunday at 3 pm at the church with a dessert reception to follow in the church Fellowship Hall. It is a free event and all are welcome.

Donnellson, Carols, Cookies and Cocoa

Donnellson Library co-sponsors “Carols, Cookies and Cocoa.” A fundraiser for the Friends of the Library from 3 to 6 pm at the University Athletic Center in Donnellson. There will be an old fashioned sing along, Santa will be there, Christmas treats, kids activities, a silent auction and door prizes. Tickets are $3 for kids, $6 for adults with a max of $20 per family and can be purchased from Library Board members, at the door, at Pilot Grove in Donnellson or Welch’s Insurance.

The annual Festival of Trees will be held Friday from 5 to 9 pm, Saturday from 9 am to 8 pm and Sunday from noon to 3 pm at the Roberts Memorial Center in Keosauqua. It is hosted by the Lions Club of Van Buren County. Many live trees and decorations will be sold in a silent auction. There will be live entertainment throughout the weekend and refreshments. All proceeds go to Christmas for Kids of Van Buren County.

Road to Bethlehem

The First Baptist Church of Farmington hosts “Road to Bethlehem” a live outdoor nativity play complete with animals including camels. The Shepherd guided tours last 15 minutes with tours starting every 15 minutes. Indoors there will be crafts for kids, refreshments and a family souvenir photo. The public is invited and this is a free event.
