The Mt. Pleasant Municipal Utilities will have a water shut-off that will extend geographically from the corner of Vernon and Lincoln St. southeasterly to the corner of Henry and Hamlin St. The shutdown will occur on Friday, August 5th, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 1:00 p.m. The Utilities is in the process of abandoning an aging section of water main that is being retired along Lincoln St.

MPCPTA Family Fun Pool Party at the Mt. Pleasant Family Aquatic Center. Pool hours are 1:00-7:00 p.m. Open to elementary students (including kindergarten and new 6th graders) who are enrolled in the Mt. Pleasant School District and their families. This event is FREE for attendees.

Winfield Crooked Creek Days kicks off  with the two person best shot golf tournament at 9 am today.  There is a meal at Twin Lakes Country Club at 5 pm.  The bags tournament is at 5:30 pm.  The whole family will enjoy the dance from 6 to 8 pm at the Country Club.  The puzzle escape room is open at the city office from 6 to 9 pm.  Jive Radio will perform at Twin Lakes from 9 to midnight.  There is also a band at the Welcome Inn at 9 pm.
