Henry County Public Health is offering free dental, vision and lead screenings from 1 to 6pm.  These screenings are in addition to the regular immunizations and covid vaccinations.  All services are available on a walk-in basis.  All Iowa children enrolling in kindergarten and 9th grade are required to have a dental screening prior to starting school.

The Henry County Health Center Diabetes Education Annual Review course scheduled for today, August 4, from 1-3 p.m. has been canceled. The next course is scheduled for Thursday, September 8. To register for the September course, call 319-385-6518.

The August exhibit at the Mt. Pleasant Main Street Art Center is titled “The Great American Freak Show”  this show has fourteen brand new originals depicting the state of the world by James Walker Henry. There is a reception for Henry today from 4 to 7 pm.  His musical guest during the reception is recording artist Pat Kaltefleiter who will be playing original ballots.
