The WACO Homecoming Parade is cancelled.

The Main Street Chili Challenge and Pints in Park have been cancelled.

Today is the deadline to register for the two day diabetes education class that will be held Sept. 26 and 27 at HCHC.  Call the Diabetes Education Center at 319-385-6518 to register.

Red Flag Tour participants will visit Eldon to see the American Gothic House.

The Montrose Library, at 202 Main Street in Montrose, is having a book sale from 9 am to 6 pm.  The sale continues Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm.

There is a fund raiser fish fry at the Wayland Fire Station from 5 to 7 pm.  The meal includes fish fillet, baked beans, coleslaw, dessert and water for a freewill donation.  Dine-in or carry out. Funds will help furnish equipment and supplies for the start up of the Little Me & Company Child Care Center.

Players Workshop, 1431 Grove Street in Burlington, presents MAMMA MIA! at 7:30 pm with performances, tonight, Sept. 24-25, Sept. 30-Oct 2 and Oct. 6-9. The Sunday performances are at 2 pm.
