This is the weekend of the Villages of Van Buren County Scenic Drive Festival. Countywide arts, crafts, flea markets, car shows, historic sites,not to mention the beautiful fall foliage.  For more information check out villagesofvanburen.com or call 800-868-7822.

Thrashers House of Terror is open from  6 pm to midnight at McMillan Park in Mount Pleasant. $10 per person or $20 for a fast pass. Details at thrashershouseofterror.com.

This is the first weekend for the Midwest Haunted Rails featuring the Ghost Train of No Return and the Ghostly Trolley. Friday night hours are 6 to 10 pm. Saturday hours are 6 to 10:30 pm. $15 per person. Ages 4 and under are free.  Find out more at oldthreshers.com.

Organist Jay Warren will provide live musical accompaniment for the silent film, “Phantom of the Opera” at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center. The Center will also host a 1920’s  preshow party at 6:30 pm. The film starts at 7:30 pm.  Admission is free.
