The Mount Pleasant City Compost site will open for the spring and summer this afternoon from 1 to 6 pm. The schedule will be Wednesdays from 1 to 6 pm and Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm.

Olson Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant is hosting a free 3 week workshop series about bereavement using the book Tear Soup as a guide.  Joan Rodgers will facilitate the workshop this evening, April 6 and April 13 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at the Chapel, 709 E. Mapleleaf Drive in Mount Pleasant.

Thursday at noon is the deadline to call in orders for the St. Alphonsus Fish Fry on Friday. Call 319-931-5466.  Orders can picked up or you may pickup your order to enjoy at Manning Hall on Friday from 5:30 to 7 pm.
