The public is invited to join the Mount Pleasant Girls Softball Association for a celebratory ribbon cutting and unveiling of their new scoreboard courtesy of Pilot Grove Savings Bank at 5:45 pm at the MP Softball fields. This event was postponed from last week! Stay for the games to follow at 6 pm and 7:30 pm. The concession stand will be open!

The Greater Jefferson County Fair at the fairgrounds in Fairfield, Iowa is underway through June 30th!  Here is what is going on today:

• 12:00 PM Tack may be brought in (At the owners risk; barns are unattended)
• 1:00 PM 4-H Communications Event & 4-H Style Show Cambridge Building
• 6:00 PM Fair Parade Line Up High School Parking Lot & Town Square
• 7:00 PM Fair Parade High School Parking Lot & Town Square
