The City Compost Site and Weekly Yard Waste Pick-up will be closing this week. The last day to drop of yard waste is today, December 2nd, 8am-5pm.

The Winter Market & Craft Show from 9:00am – noon at the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant, 902 South Walnut Street!  Shop for unique Christmas gifts, baked goods and much more!

Start your Christmas baking at the Faith Lutheran Church Cookie Walk at 910 East Mapleleaf Drive in Mt. Pleasant!  The Cookie Walk is from 8:00am – noon!

Annual Holiday Bake Sale by Chapter CK TTT today from 8am to 12:30 PM at the Donnellson Community Room. Enjoy all kinds of Baked Goods, Homemade Crafts, Fresh Pecans (just delivered) and a RAFFLE with prizes and money awarded. Raffle tickets $1 each or 10 for $5 and you need not be present to win. Tickets are available from TTT members or at the Bake Sale. “We Send Girls to Camp”

TODAY is the pick-up for fruit sale orders from the Mount Pleasant Music Department. Pick up at 105 North McCoy Street, Wilson Distributor Service. Students with last name A-M 8-9:30 pick up time, students with last name N-Z 9:30-11 am. This is the only pick up date, students should pick up orders and deliver them to customers.

Time for a cookie break!  The Winfield Presbyterian Church Cookie & Candy Walk 8:30am – 11:30am at the First Presbyterian Church, 302 South Locust Street in Winfield!  Cookies & Candy will be sold by the pound!

Christmas Market 2023, sponsored by the Mt. Pleasant Christian School at 1505 East Washington Street in Mt. Pleasant is from 9:00am – 2:00pm.  Concessions will be served starting at 8:30am!  Find Unique Crafts, Gifts, Baked Goods & Door Prizes!

MP Students ages preschool- 5th grade are invited to attend and shop for gifts for family and friends ranging up to $12, with a max of $50 total spent per child. The volunteers will help guide your child to pick out special gifts! When you arrive that morning, be ready with cash or check, as well as, the list of who each child will be shopping for. A Holiday Bake Sale, sponsored by the West Burlington United Methodist Church Women of Faith, is from 8:00am – 1:00pm at the Fellowship Hall: 306 Broadway Street in West Burlington, across from the Fire Station.

There will be Cookies with Santa at The Moose Lodge from 12:00 – 4:00. Cookies & activities for the kids & they can also have their pictures taken with Santa. All are welcome. Sponsored by the Thank You Is Not Enough Committee & The Mt. Pleasant Moose Lodge.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hudson of rural Winfield will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary from 2-5 pm at the Occasion on Oaks Community room.  All relatives and friends are invited to come help them celebrate this milestone.

As part of the WAGG (Winfield Area Grateful Gathering) events, the Presbyterian Church at 302 S. Locust in Winfield will present Selah, a local women’s gospel group in a concert  entitled “The ABCs of Christmas” on Saturday, December 2 at 4:00 p.m.  Refreshments and fellowship will follow the concert.  A free-will offering will be used for future WAGG events.

The Brighton Chamber of Commerce, assisted by Tommy’s Helping Hands, presents TREE LIGHTING & COOKIES FOR SANTA!  Tree Lighting at Brighton Central Park begins at 5:00pm; Cookies & Cocoa For Santa in Brighton City Hall at 6:00pm!

Calvary Baptist Christmas Cantata this year is entitled, “Come Celebrate the Wonder” created by Marty Parks. Today and tomorrow at 6:30 PM each night enjoy the drama and music followed by a dessert reception. This is a completely free event for the public, and everyone is invited!
