The 6th Annual TRENTON CAR SHOW is underway from 11:00am – 4:00pm today in Trenton, Iowa.  Cars, Trucks, and Motorcycles on display at Trenton Park, rain or shine!  DJ Ken Michaels will be spinning some tunes, 50/50 drawing, and door prizes every hour!  Food will be served from Wesley Chapel Methodist Church and Wilson’s BBQ!  There is NO entry fee!

The Children’s Discovery Center at the Mt. Pleasant Public Library is open today from 10:00am – 12:00pm!  The Discovery Center is geared toward younger children, there is something to “discover” for all ages!

Have some fun with the whole family at the Blank Park Zoo Mobile Education Unit at the Bentonsport Historical District Riverfront Park in Keosauqua from 10:00am – 3:00pm! There will be a lecture on mammals and another on reptiles along with carnival games and a scavenger hunt. The ISU Insect Zoo and the Youth Entrepreneur Market will also be there. The carnival and sack lunch have fees, so you need to call 641-233-7793 or 319-592-3579 to reserve lunch. Vendors can also call one of these numbers to reserve spaces.

The Winfield Lyons Club will be hosting a Cake Walk at the Legion Hall in Winfield with the doors opening at 3:30 pm!
