The First Annual “Save the Bridge” Catfish Tournament is underway from 7am – 2pm at Oakland Mills.  Sign up is at 6am with a $20 per person entry fee.  Join in a free will donation Fish Fry at 3:30pm at Oakland Bait & Tackle!  For more information, contact Steve Davis at 319-217-0371 or Marc Ford at 319-931-0871.

The Mt. Pleasant Farmer’s Market, featuring local, fresh produce, baked goods and much more, is open from 8:30am – 11am.  The Farmer’s Market is under the Wright Family Pavilion at McMillan Park!  Also open on Wednesday afternoons.

The Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church is hosing a Summer Garage Sale from 8am – 1pm.  Stop by 201 Academy Avenue in Swedesburg where all items are 50 cents (unless otherwise marked), and the $2 a bag sale starts at 11am! All proceeds go toward Social Ministry Programs.

The Theatre Museum Repertoire Americana is open from 10am – 4pm (closed 12-12:30pm for lunch)! The museum is dedicated to the preservation of memorabilia and artifacts of early repertoire theatre. The collection includes painted curtains and scenic pieces; costumes and equipment; playbills, show cards, advertising sheets, and so much more!   The museum is located on the Old Threshers grounds at 405 Thresher Road and is open weekly Thursday – Saturday through Labor Day.

Spend an afternoon going back in time as Henry County Heritage Trust presents “Voices from the Past – Soldier Reenactors”!  The reenactment features the Revolutionary War, Civil War, WWI, & WWII at 2pm, 203 N. White Street.    The Van Allen House and the Heritage Center Museum are also open from 1pm – 4pm!

The annual Cops and Bobbers Fishing Derby is from 9am – 11am at Starker Lake in Crapo Park!  Join the Burlington Police Department and the Burlington/West Burlington Optimist Club!

The Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves Football fundraiser is from 5p-7p at the Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club!  Enjoy a fried tenderloin with all the fixings!  This meal is a free will donation and all are welcome!
