Lockridge Fire & Rescue will be serving up breakfast from 7am – 10:30am at the Lockridge School! Biscuits ‘n gravy, sausage, pancakes, scrambled eggs, coffee, milk and juice are on the menu and this is a free will donation meal!
The 2nd Annual Ride and Benefit for Thank You is Never Enough! Mt. Pleasant Veterans Hall, 300 W. Monroe Street. Registration is 8:30am – 10:15am, Pre-ride Meeting follows at 10:15am, Kickstands up at 10:30am. $20 per bike/car. The route is Mount Pleasant Veterans Hall, Washington Wagon Wheel, Riverside VFW, Muscatine VFW, Oakville Pub and Grub, and back to the Vet’s hall. The ride will return about 4 with supper to start at 4:30pm. Quilts of Valor at 5pm with an auction to follow. All money raised goes to helping veterans.
The Theatre Museum Repertoire Americana is open today from 10am – 4pm (closed 12-12:30pm for lunch)! The museum is dedicated to the preservation of memorabilia and artifacts of early repertoire theatre. The collection includes painted curtains and scenic pieces; costumes and equipment; playbills, show cards, advertising sheets, and so much more! The museum is located on the Old Threshers grounds at 405 Thresher Road and is open weekly Thursday – Saturday through Labor Day.
VFW post 7641 in New London will be serving liver and onions or pork loin and dressing from 5-7 pm. Dinners include mashed potatoes green beans and roll.
The 43rd Annual Farmington Strawberry Festival is underway this weekend! Enjoy bands each evening at the American Legion along with fun, food, and strawberries! In fact, from 2pm – 4pm FREE STRAWBERRIES & ICE CREAM will be served at the Berry Tent on 2nd Street with live music by Shannon Shephard! Here is the list of today’s activities:
