The Winfield Presbyterian Church Big Basement Sale will be held from 7am – noon. The Winfield City Wide sales also continue today.

The Mount Pleasant City Compost Site is open from 8 am to 5 pm. The site is located behind Saunders Park at the intersection of Yocum Lane and Hoaglin Drive.

The Mount Pleasant Farmers Market will be held from 8:30 am to 11 am under Wright Pavilion in McMillan Park.

The Pioneer Cemetery Commission joins forces with the Mount Pleasant Community Theatre to present “Old City Cemetery Walk” Everyone is invited to come see some of Mount Pleasant’s community founders come to life at 2 pm in the Old City Cemetery on Jefferson Street in Mount Pleasant. This program is free and open to the public.

The annual Mt. Pleasant Marching Band Invitational will be held at Mapleleaf Athletic Complex. Admission is $5.00 and concessions will be available.  This is probably the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Mount Pleasant Music Boosters. The Mount Pleasant Middle School will get the evening started at 6 pm with an exhibition performance.

The Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra presents its Pops Concert at 7:30 pm at the Bridge View Center in Ottumwa and again on Sunday at the Capital Theater in Burlington at 6:30 pm.

Sunday, September 18th marks the 2022 St. Alphonsus Autumn Festival. Mass on Saturday is at 5:30 as usual and only one Mass on Sunday at 10:30.The Country Corner begins selling items in the Gathering Space on Saturday evening at 4:00 and on Sunday at 9:30. It will be open through out the day on Sunday. On Sunday dinner begins at 10:30 to 1:00. Tables will be in Manning Hall and outside and to-go dinners will be available.
