The Second Annual Depot Tour will be held today and Sunday. The center of the of the Tour is Van Buren County with locations in Henry, Lee and Wapello counties. There are 11 stops on the tour. Hours and addresses can be found on the Villages of Van Buren County Facebook page.
The Mount Pleasant City Compost Site is open from 8 am to 5 pm. The site is located behind Saunders Park at the intersection of Yocum Lane and Hoaglin Drive.
The Mount Pleasant Farmers Market will be held from 8:30 am to 11 am under Wright Pavilion in McMillan Park.
St. Alphonsus Ladies of Charity Rummage Sale from 9 am to noon in Manning Hall, 607 S. Jackson Street, Mt. Pleasant. today a free will offering will be asked.
The Iowa Wesleyan University Homecoming Parade starts at 10 am from in front of the Howe Student Activity Center. Following the parade there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new weight room in the Student Center.

The Louisa County Fine Art Show, that includes a juried art show, will be held at the Morning Sun Community Center. The work of 22 area artists will be on display. Hours today are noon to 4 pm and Sunday 10:30 am to 4 pm. There will be a reception for the artists on Sunday from 6 to 7:30 pm.
The St. James God’s Acre Sale in St. Paul is celebrating 71 year with the auction starting at noon. Turkey and roast beef sandwiches, along with desserts will be served thru out the day and evening.
Steve and Mary Hoyer in Salem will participate in the annual Solar Energy Tour, sponsored by the American Solar Energy Society. Their all-electric home, powered by solar, will be open for visitors this weekend, Saturday and Sunday – October 1st and 2nd, from 1-4:00 in the afternoon.
Players Workshop at 1431 Grove Street in Burlington presents Mamma Mia! at 7:30 pm tonight. The Sunday performance is at 2 pm.
