Mount Pleasant Public Library Childrens Department is hosting a Halloween Party at 10 am. There will be spooky treats, crafts and games. Costumes are optional.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Public notice is hereby given that Van Buren County, Iowa, will operate a satellite voting station for the upcoming General Election from 12:00 noon to 6:00 Pm, in the Farmington Community Center, 204 S 4^th St, Farmington. Ballot styles will be available for ALL eligible voters of Van Buren County.  Voter registration forms will also be available for new registrations and changes to registrations in Van Buren County.

Thrashers House of Terror is open from  6 pm to midnight at McMillan Park in Mount Pleasant. $10 per person or $20 for a fast pass. Details at thrashershouseofterror.com. The Midwest Haunted Rails featuring the Ghost Train of No Return and the Ghostly Trolley. Friday night hours Saturday hours are 6 to 10:30 pm. $15 per person. The Mount Pleasant Community Theatre presents, “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculath0n” at 7 pm on the performance level of the Old Threshers Theatre Museum.  The performance is free but free will donations will be appreciated.  There will also be a performance October 30 at 2 pm.

Haunted Halls from 6-8pm @ Morning Sun Elementary School

The Haunted School is open in Bonaparte from 7 to 10 pm tonite. The school is located at 602 8th Street. Admission is $10 per person.
