The Mount Pleasant City Compost site is open Wednesdays from 1 pm to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm. The site is located behind Saunders Park at the intersection of Yocum Lane and Hoaglin Drive.

The 2023 Lockridge Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the Lockridge Ball Field on April 15th, 2023 starting promptly at 10 A.M. Ages 1-12 are invited to attend.

The Mount Pleasant Children’s Discovery Center is open from 10 am to 12 pm.  The Center is located on the east side of the Public Library/Civic Center on East Monroe Street.

Players Workshop invites you to enter the world of the “prop master” in the fourth of its free, informational “Coffee and Stagecraft” from 10:00 a.m. until noon, at the Workshop at 1431 Grove St., Burlington.  Meet in the lobby for a cup of coffee and learn how responsibility for props, items used on stage to both enhance an actor’s ability to tell the story and to make the setting more realistic, is a much harder job than it first appears to be.  No pre-registration is required.

Donnellson Vision presents Afternoon Bingo in the Pilot Grove Savings Bank Community Room from 1-4 p.m. 2 cards for $5, $1 for additional cards up to 6 cards. Great prizes, popcorn and pop available to purchase, and fun for all! Proceeds will go towards the Tunnel to Towers Run.

There will be a MOPS-Winfield Food Bank Fundraiser to benefit the remodeling and updating of the former Winfield Beacon Building to used for the new Winfield Food Pantry.- The fundraiser will be held at the Winfield Vets Building from 5 to 7 pm. Take-outs are available. Menu includes hot chicken sandwiches beefburgergers, homemade salads, homemade desserts, drink. A free-will offering will be accepted.

Presbyterian Women Spring Rummage & Bake Sale today from 8am to 1pm. Held at the First Presbyterian Church at 902 S. Walnut in Mt. Pleasant. All items are 50 cents, unless marked. $2 a bag sale on Saturday from 11am to 1pm.

The Mount Pleasant High School Drama Department presents “Clue” tonite at 7 pm and April 16 at 2 pm at the Heatilator Center, 307 E. Monroe Street.  Tickets are $10 at the door.

It’s Prom Night for New London and Fairfield High Schools! At New London the Post Prom Committee will be holding at pie auction fundraiser at 4:30 pm before the start of the Promenade that starts at 5 pm in the gym.
