Washington County 4-H will host a Pancakes & More Breakfast Fundraiser at the Washington County Fairgrounds in the basement of Dallmeyer Hall.  All proceeds will go towards the 4-H enrollment fees for Washington County 4-Hers. Breakfast will be served from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and a drink.  Free will donations will be accepted.   Dine in or carry out available.  The breakfast is held in conjunction with an IJBBA Open Cattle Show sponsored by Washington County 4-H County Council that starts at 11 a.m. which is open to the public to watch for free.

The Mount Pleasant Compost site is open for the season Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm and Wednesdays 1 pm to 6 pm.  The site is located behind Saunders Park at the end of Yocum Lane and Hoaglin Drive.

Junkin Sisters Shop Hop Spring Edition runs throughout southeast Iowa today and Sunday.  Look for the Junkin Sisters Shop Hop Facebook page to print out a map.  There will be door prizes as well.  Shops are open today from 9 am to 5 pm.

Henry County Heritage Trust is holding a spring cleaning tag sale from 9 am to 2 pm at the Trust’s Museum, 403 W. Madison in Mount Pleasant. Proceeds offset museum expenses.

April 26 thru April 29 is spring clean up week in Mount Pleasant.  Items to be picked up must be placed on the curb the same day as the regular trash pickup by the city in your neighborhood. If you don’t utilize the city service you may still put items on the curb.  Everyone must adhere stickers to your pile of trash.  For more information contact the city Public Works office at 319-385-1480.

Winfield Fire & Rescue Pancake Supper is from 5 to 7 pm at the Winfield Fire and Rescue, 110 W. Ash.  Pancakes, sausage and a drink are served by freewill donation.  Dine-in, curbside pickup and in-town delivery options are available.
