The Trenton Annual Yard Sale Weekend continues.  New this year is the craft and vendor show in the park from 8 am to 4 pm.   There will be food and porta potties on site.”

Washington County Master Gardeners will hold a plant sale at the Washington County Fairgrounds from 8:00 a.m. until items are sold out 11:30 am.  The plant sale will be held at the historic Palmer Polygonal Barn.

Main Street Mount Pleasant’s Sip and Shop runs today from 10 to 3.  Participating businesses will be open, there will be pop-vendors as well as coffee and wine samples too.

The Mount Pleasant City compost site is open for the season Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm and Wednesdays from 1 to 6 pm.  The site is located southwest of Saunders Park at the intersection of Yocum Lane and Hoaglin Drive.

The Oakland Mills Nature Center is open Saturday mornings from 9 am to noon. Weekday appointments can be made by call 319-986-5067.

The Mount Pleasant Historic Preservation Commission is holding an Historic Preservation Salvage Sale beginning at 9 am at 407 West Saunders Street in Mount Pleasant.

WMU-PTO Superhero Glow Fun Run/Walk is today at the WMU school track and football field.  Registration starts at 6 pm with the run starting at 7 pm and the awards ceremony at 8:15.  Entry fee is $20 per person with a max of $50 per household.  Two courses are offered and this is a safe and family friendly event, with free refreshments.  You can pre-register by going to the WMU-PTO Facebook page.

The Cotillion Club announces the sixth dance of the 2020-2021 schedules. Take 2 will play your favorites Saturday at THE LOFT in downtown Burlington, Iowa. Dance from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., open to the public, singles welcome. Cover charge is $12.50 per person for non-members, masks required.
