There is a community brunch at Twin Lakes in Winfield serving from 9:30 am to 1 pm. A free will donation is asked.

The Second Annual Depot Tour will be held again today. The center of the of the Tour is Van Buren County with locations in Henry, Lee and Wapello counties. There are 11 stops on the tour. Hours and addresses can be found on the Villages of Van Buren County Facebook page.

The Louisa County Fine Art Show, that includes a juried art show, will be held at the Morning Sun Community Center.  The work of 22 area artists will be on display. Hours today are 10:30 am to 4 pm. There will be a reception for the artists from 6 to 7:30 pm.

Steve and Mary Hoyer in Salem will participate in the annual Solar Energy Tour, sponsored by the American Solar Energy Society. Their all-electric home, powered by solar, will be open for visitors from 1 to 4:00 pm in the afternoon.

Danville Homecoming Week activities kick off today with Powder Puff Volleyball at 3 pm in the High School gym followed by Powder Puff Football at 6 pm on the football field.

Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church is hosting a Community Hayride. From 4 to 6 p.m. enjoy a community hayride at the Swedesburg Parish Hall, 201 Academy Avenue, Swedesburg. There will be hot dogs to roast, s’mores to eat, along with the hayrides and games to play. Everyone is welcome!
