This is Kids Day at the Van Buren County Fair.  Other activities include the Baby Contest, Battle on the Border Open Beef Show, and Pedal Pull. The Southern Smash Demo Derby starts at 6 pm.

At 1:30 p.m., there is a fun program on exploring vintage fire insurance maps, namely the Sanborn and Bennett maps that the Dover Museum will have on display.  A live internet demonstration will also be a part of the program.  These maps show the business district of the town and surrounding buildings, and of what they were constructed.  Original street names, such as Mill Street, are shown on these remarkable maps.  A handout for all fire insurance maps of Henry County will be available. Come to the air conditioned Dover Museum for this free program followed by refreshments.

The people of the Trenton United Methodist Church invite you to share and enjoy the fellowship of an ice cream social from 2:00-4:00 PM in the Sunrise Room. Come and enjoy delicious homemade ice cream and goodies and unlimited fellowship.  This event is open to the public, there is plenty of free parking, and the building is fully accessible.  A free will offering will be accepted.

Construction work on 170th Street east of Trenton in Henry County will begin Monday, July 26th. Portable traffic signals will be utilized, as traffic will be limited to one lane. Please travel this area with caution.
