Spring Run Church, 24484 – 90th Street in Columbus Junction is hosting an ICE CREAM SOCIAL from 5:00pm – 7:00pm.  Also included: Hot Chicken Sandwiches, Beef Burgers, Potato Salad, Pie & Cakes!  The ice cream is HOMEMADE!  This event is a Free Will Donation with all proceeds to to “Missions”.

Learn how to shoot guns at Des Moines County Conservation’s free Shooting Safety and Basics event from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the Big Hollow Shooting Range. Participants will have a safety briefing followed by hands-on opportunities to learn about BB guns, rifles, and shotguns. There will be a second event on August 14 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm as well.
