The Henry County Treasurer’s Office will be closed.  Staff will be attending Iowa Department of Transportation Driver License and Motor Vehicle Training.  The office will be open for business at 8:00 AM Wednesday, August 3^rd.

Henry County Public Health is holding a special all day immunization clinic from 9 am to 4 pm.  Regular immunizations and COVID 19 vaccines will be available on a walk-in basis. Immunizations are needed before starting kindergarten, 7th grade and 12th grade.

Spring Run Church invites everyone to an ice cream social serving from 5 to 7 pm.  There will be hot chicken sandwiches, beef burgers, potato salad, pie, cakes and of course homemade ice cream.  A free will donation will support missions.  The church is located at the corner of County Road X17 and 90th Street in Columbus Junction.

Players Workshop will kick off its 90^th year with open auditions for the popular musical Mamma Mia!, on Sun.-Tues., July 31-Aug 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the Workshop, 1431 Grove St. The directors are looking for people ages 15-70, to fill 13 principal roles (6 female and 7 male), and a mixed ensemble of 12 or more people. Tryouts will include readings, songs, and choreography from the play, all of which will be provided by the directors, so auditionees need not bring anything except their talent.
