Mount Pleasant School District Families are encouraged to attend the Family Fun Fair Open House from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at the Middle School.  There will be a meal, activities, prizes and fun activities for kids of all ages. There will be opportunities to learn more about social media safety and suicide prevention. And various community and school district resources will be there to share information.  An added bonus will be the chance to meet the mascots!

There will be free help available with the FAFSA (the Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at the Mount Pleasant High School in the Media Center from 5 to 7 pm.  A parent should come with the student and students need to bring their laptops. A 6 pm there will also be a presentation in the Media Center on Career and College Planning for students and parents.

Clark Elementary is holding a parent night for the parents of incoming kindergarten students.  This will be held in the Clark cafeteria at 5:30 pm. Please bring your student with you.

The Mount Pleasant Christian School is serving Tacos from 5 to 6:30 pm at the school on East Washington Street. Dine in or to go. Call 319-385-8613 to order pickup. Soft shell beef or chicken tacos. Fried or not. Walking tacos, chips and homemade salsa also available.

The Mount Pleasant Moose Lodge, at 108 N. Saunders, is serving tacos from 5 to 7 pm. The Lodge is located at 108 N. Saunders Street.

Square dance club in Wever at the IOOF Hall, East on J-48 off Hwy 61. Lessons from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. dance times from 7:30 – 10 p.m.
