Community members can join students at the Iowa Wesleyan Career Expo.  Bring your resume and take advantage of this opportunity from 11 am to 2 pm to explore the jobs available with area businesses and companies.  The Expo will be held in the Howe Student Activity Center’s Social Hall on campus.

BROWN BAG LECTURE SERIES – OBJECT BIOGRAPHIES FROM THE HARLAN-LINCOLN HOUSE from 12 – 1 p.m. Spencer Barton (new director of the Harlan-Lincoln House) will present on the “lives lived” among three objects found in the Harlan-Lincoln House’s collection: an algebra book used by Abraham “Jack” Lincoln, grandson of Abraham Lincoln, the main stairway banister, and a pair of utensil urns. This event is free and open to the public.

It’s Taco Tuesday at the Mount Pleasant Christian School serving from 5 to 6:30 pm.  Dine in or to-go.  Call 319-385-8613 to order for pickup. 10 inch soft shell beef or chicken tacos.  Fried or not fried. Walking tacos, chips and homemade salsa.

The Mount Pleasant Moose Lodge serves tacos every Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm. The Lodge is located at 108 North Saunders Street.

The Mount Pleasant Elementary Choral Festival will be held at 7 p at the High School.

April 1st is the deadline to submit a veteran’s name to be added to the Henry County Veterans Memorial prior to Memorial Day 2023. The deceased veteran must meet ONE of the following criteria: Have been born in Henry County, entered military service from Henry County, OR have lived in Henry County for at least ten years.  Proof of military service documents MUST accompany the request. Applications are available at area funeral homes; at the Veterans Hall, 300 W Monroe St, Mt. Pleasant; Veterans Affairs, 106 E Clay St, Mt. Pleasant, or by calling 319-385-4983.
