The Mount Pleasant City compost site is open for the season Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm and Wednesdays from 1 to 6 pm.  The site is located southwest of Saunders Park at the intersection of Yocum Lane and Hoaglin Drive.

Main Street Mount Pleasant has a Cinco de Mayo Block Party from 5 to 7 pm.  Some participating merchants will offering margarita samples while others will offer food samples.  There will be photo opportunities and a karaoke setup at this free event.
