DESCRIPTION:The Mount Pleasant Vets Hall (VFW) at 300 W. Monroe St. Monthly Veterans Breakfast is from 8:30am – 9:30am. The breakfast is open to the community for a free-will donation. \nThe Mt. Pleasant Public Library’s Children’s Discovery Center is open from 10am – 12pm today\, where there is something for everyone to discover!  The Children’s Discover Center is also open on Saturday this weekend from 10am – Noon. \nCity of Mount Pleasant curbside yard waste collection is underway. Pickup takes place on Fridays\, and residents must contact City Hall by noon on Thursday to be added to the list. To schedule a pickup\, call 319-385-1470. \nSEISO Artist-in-Residence\, and violin prodigy Katya Moeller will perform in Mt. Pleasant at the Chapel Auditorium\, 601 N. Main Street at 7pm.  Admission is free and open to the public. \nDMC Regional Waste’s main drop-off location at 1000 West Washington Street in Mount Pleasant is open Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Residents can drop off recyclables and rechargeable batteries during these hours. \nMount Pleasant Community Theatre will present The Play That Goes Wrong! on Friday\, April 17 at 7:00 p.m.\, Saturday\, April 18 at 2:00 p.m.\, and Sunday\, April 19 at 7:00 p.m. Enjoy a night of nonstop comedy as everything that can go wrong… does.
