DESCRIPTION:The City of Mount Pleasant Compost Site at 700 West Yocum Lane is open for the season. Hours are Wednesdays from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The site is located southwest of Saunders Park at the end of Yocum Lane and Hoaglin Drive. For more information\, call 319-385-1480. \nDMC Regional Waste offers both a main drop-off site and mobile recycling options on Wednesdays. Residents can recycle items\, including rechargeable batteries\, at multiple locations. The main drop-off site at 1000 West Washington Street in Mount Pleasant is open from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Mobile recycling will also be available in New London at the Town Square from 8:15 to 11:30 AM\, and in Danville at City Hall from 1:30 to 3:00 PM. For more information\, visit dmcwaste.org.
