DESCRIPTION:It’s Small Business Week and we join the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce in recognizing Mt. Pleasant Tire & Service\, 1305 E. Washington St. starting at 9:00am! Mt. Pleasant Tire & Service\, delivering honest and professional services you can trust. \nThe St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Ladies for Charity Rummage sale kicks off today through Saturday in Manning Hall\, 607 S. Jackson Street.  Doors open at 9am! \nDMC Regional Waste will be in Winfield at City Hall on Thursdays from 8:30 to 9:30 AM for mobile recycling services. Residents can bring recyclables and rechargeable batteries for proper disposal. Learn more at dmcwaste.org. \nThe Mt. Pleasant Moose Lodge is serving delicious tenderloins from 5pm -7pm!  Hamburgers and fries are also on the menu.  Eat at the Moose or carry out!  Enjoy “Taco Tuesday” every Tuesday from 5pm – 7pm at the Moose lodge\, too! During the month of May\, the Moose will donate a $1.00 from each food item purchased to Jared’s Park at the Henry County Nature Center! \nThe STEM program at Harlan Elementary School in Mt. Pleasant is providing students with the opportunity for hands-on learning during the final week of school and are looking for donations!  Cardboard tubes\, tissue boxes\, plastic containers\, ice cream buckets\, pipe cleaners\, straws\, and crafting supplies are needed!  Donations can be dropped off at Harlan (1001 N. Main Street) before May 18th. \n
