DESCRIPTION:All God’s Creatures presents “The Creature’s Classic”\, an 18-hole Golf Tournament\, at the Mt. Pleasant Golf & Country Club!  Entry fee is $400 for a team of four\, with registration beginning at 11am.  Dinner is at 5:30pm and a live auction will follow.  All proceeds from this event will go toward supporting the All God’s Creatures Animal Shelter. \nThe Harlan-Lincoln House in Mount Pleasant will sponsor a presentation by Gary Parzych\, Exhibits and Collections Director at Hildene\, the Robert Todd Lincoln Home in Manchester\, Vermont today at 6:30 p.m. at the Union Block Building\, 111 West Monroe Street\, Mount Pleasant. Parzych’s talk is entitled “The Lincoln Family and Their Ancestral Home”. Robert Lincoln described Hildene as their “ancestral home”. The presentation will include information about the house\, the people\, and significant artifacts\, some of which traveled from Mount Pleasant to Manchester in the early 20th century. Free and open to the public; donations are welcome and are used for the preservation of the Harlan-Lincoln House. \nThe 2nd Annual “Save the Bridge” Catfish Tournament is from 7am – 2pm at Oakland Mills in Mt. Pleasant!  Pre-register at Oakland Bait and Tackle: $25/person – $50/team with registration opening at 6am.  Five fish limit\, channel Cat only\, weigh-in at South Shore from 2pm – 3pm.  Cash prizes awarded!  The FISH FRY starts at 4pm at Oakland Bait & Tackle with a prize raffle: the public is welcome to attend!  Find more information on Facebook: @PreserveOaklandMills or call Steve Davis 319-217-0371 or Marc Ford 319-931-0871. \nMuseum is Open for Touring- The Van Allen House will be open this Saturday\, June 6th\, and will be open every Saturday 1-4pm.
