DESCRIPTION:The Henry County fair is still in full swing! Here’s what’s on the agenda for today: \n\n7:00am – 9:00am Farm Service/Agriland Breakfast (WP)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n8:00am Swine Show- A livestock competition where local 4-H and FFA youth exhibit their market and breeding pigs.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n11:00am Rabbit Show- An annual 4-H and FFA event where youth exhibit purebred commercial and fancy rabbits\, as well as meat pens.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n1:00pm Poultry Show-  An agricultural competition where local 4-H and FFA youth showcase their raised poultry projects. Exhibitors are judged on showmanship\, bird quality\, and flock management\, with categories including breeding birds\, egg-layers\, meat production\, and fun costume contests.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n4:00pm Working Exhibits- A 4-H communication event where youth teach\, demonstrate\, or show an audience how to do something\n\n\n\n\n5:30pm Share the Fun- A non-competitive performing arts and talent showcase.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n6:00pm Clover Kid Graduation Ceremony- Celebrates 4-H members who have completed the non-competitive Clover Kids program and are transitioning into the traditional 4-H program as 4th graders.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n7:30pmThe Hype- A high-energy 1980s glam rock tribute band\, Tickets $20!\n\nSidewalk Sales in Downtown Mt. Pleasant- Shop great deals from your favorite downtown businesses! \nThe Salem Farmers Market is open from 4:30pm – 7:30pm on the west side of Salem City Park.  The farmers market is open on the first and third Friday of the month through September 18! \nReminder that the Children’s Discovery Center will be closed this July- It will re-open on August 3rd! \nCommunity Blood Drive- ImpactLife will host a community blood drive on 07/17/2026 from 11am-2pm at Henry County Health Center. Donating blood is a simple way to help ensure local hospitals have the lifesaving blood products they need for patients facing surgery\, cancer treatments\, traumatic injuries\, and other medical emergencies. Eligible donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment or walk in if space allows. Every donation can help save lives throughout the region. Be sure to wear clothing suitable for getting wet and bring a headlamp if you have one\, as only a limited number will be available to borrow. This program is free and open to all ages.
