DESCRIPTION:The Mt. Pleasant Children’s Discovery Center next to the public library is open from 12pm – 2pm.  The Children’s Discovery Center is at 307 E. Monroe Street where there is something to discover for children of all ages!  The Children’s Discovery Center is also open on Friday from 10am – 12pm. \nThe City of Mt. Pleasant is providing free Christmas Tree (LIVE trees/NOT artificial trees) pickup this week\, today through Friday January 9th\, 2026.  MP Public Works will use the week to pick up trees and there is no need to call the department.  Just have your Christmas tree by the curb for a Monday – Friday pickup.  Trees must not have plastic coverings\, decorations\, or tinsel on them.
