The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center has named David Rodwin its new Executive Director.
Rodwin brings more than 30 years of experience as a writer, producer, composer, filmmaker and nonprofit leader. He succeeds former Executive Director Lindsay Bauer, who programmed the Center’s upcoming 2026-27 season before leaving the organization.
Rodwin will help shape future mainstage seasons while also working to grow the convention side of the Fairfield facility.
His career has included work in music, theater, film and television. Rodwin co-founded a theater and film company in New York, produced short movie musicals with Broadway performers and later worked on television comedies and dramas. Most recently, he has also been producing blues festivals in Clarksdale, Mississippi.
Rodwin says that varied background will influence future programming in Fairfield, with plans to bring in established touring acts as well as distinctive performances in music, theater, comedy, puppetry and dance.
The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center’s 2026-27 mainstage season begins October 16.
The public will have a chance to meet Rodwin during a Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce After Hours event at the Center on Thursday, October 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event is free and will include refreshments and tours of the facility.
