Henry County rural residents will have a chance to get rid of large household items during a special Bulk Clean Up next Friday and Saturday.
The clean-up will be held at the Henry County Dump, located at 900 West Washington Street in Mount Pleasant. Hours are Friday, October 2, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, October 3, from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
Accepted items include couches, chairs, tables, beds, mattresses, box springs and toys. Carpet will also be accepted, but pieces can be no longer than six feet and must be taped or tied into rolls.
Explosive materials, commercial or industrial waste, construction waste, yard waste, trees or shrubs, concrete, rocks and bricks will not be accepted.
The event is for Henry County rural residents, and proof of residency is required.
