An Illinois woman was taken to the Henry County Jail Tuesday night following a traffic stop in Washington County.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports a deputy stopped a vehicle shortly before 9 p.m. near Highway 218 and East Columbus Street in Crawfordsville.
During the stop, deputies arrested Dawn Michelle Johnson, 44, of Illinois, on a Henry County warrant for failure to appear on a speeding matter.
The warrant carried a $300 cash-only bond. Johnson was turned over to Henry County authorities and transported to the Henry County Jail.
A charge is merely an accusation; a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
