Mitchell Duane Grelk, 43, of Burlington, Iowa formerly of Farmington, passed away on September 3, 2026. He was born in Ft. Madison on December 28, 1982 to Michael Duane and Sharell Ann Black Grelk. He attended Central Lee High School. He married Ricki Jo Boyd, they divorced and he then married Jackie O’Keefe and they divorced.
Mitch very much enjoyed his job at Roberts Tire in Burlington. He especially loved joking around with his boss and coworkers as they were more than just fellow workers, they were the people he enjoyed spending his days with and making lasting memories. He also worked at construction, was a pipe layer, and proudly a union guy. He loved riding his motorcycle and spending time with his nephews.
He will be most remembered for his humor; his ability to find things to laugh about; and the unique way he had of bringing his personality into the lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, coworkers, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Survivors include his father of Donnellson; mother of Farmington; brothers, Scott Grelk of Donnellson and D.J. Kollar of Sierra Mts, California; nephew Rueger Mitchell Grelk; grandmother Mary Lou Grelk of Donnellson; and girlfriend Catherine Ann Carkhuff of New London. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Duane Grelk.
