Mount Pleasant Man Charged in Child Exploitation Investigation

A Mount Pleasant man has been charged following an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.

Bryce Alexander Willis, age 31, is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor by promoting a film, a Class C felony.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Henry County, the Mount Pleasant Police Department received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in June of 2025. The tip concerned files allegedly uploaded through the messaging service Kik in January of that year.

Investigators say account and internet records connected the upload to Willis and his Mount Pleasant residence. Police allege the material depicted the sexual abuse of a young child.

Willis was issued a summons to appear in Henry County District Court on September 11.

The charge is an accusation, and Willis is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
