The National Weather Service cautions – one more day of dangerous heat and humidity in the area with an Extreme Heat Warning and Heat Advisory in effect through 7pm tonight. Cooler and less humid conditions are expected for Sunday and Monday. The NWS is confident Dangerous heat will continue through early this evening, mainly along/south of I-80. Improvement in the heat and humidity are expected area-wide for Sunday and Labor Day. The uncertainty is whether any thunderstorms will develop this afternoon/early evening along and south of Highway 92 (10% or less chance of this).
