Southeast Iowa Playbook

WACO was our school of focus for last night’s season premier of The Southeast Iowa Playbook. Seniors Hayden Shelman and Ava Wagler were our special guests and Shelman talked about what makes the football team special, after starting 3-0 and finding a spot in Eight Player’s top 10 for Radio Iowa,

“We just had a lot of chemistry. We’re all uh, we’re all best friends on and off the field and I just feel like. Everybody takes accountability and they’re able to do their jobs. We’re able to trust that everybody else is going to do their jobs um, like I said before and you know I just feel like we just have chemistry on the field that like a lot of teams may not have.”

Wagler and the Warriors are fresh off a victory against Lone Tree and will be looking to use that momentum for the rest of the season,

“I would say we’ve gotten a lot better at our serving and we really did focus on that during practices and lately, we’ve been really working on passing and I think it’s paid off.”
