Washington Police are investigating a reported check-fraud scheme involving approximately $5,000.
A caller contacted authorities shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday and reported receiving five checks that appeared to come from the same company. However, each check was issued under a different individual’s name.
An officer responded, and the case remains under investigation.
No arrest or additional information has been reported.
