A traffic switch will be occur tomorrow, Wednesday August 4th in the vicinity of Mount Pleasant. If vehicles are traveling eastbound on US 34, they will be forced to take Exit 234 and detour through the City of Mount Pleasant due to patching. The on-ramp at IA438/Grand Ave to travel East on US 34 will also be closed. The duration will only be from 7am to 7pm.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
