Mount Pleasant — Columbus took a 2-0 lead after just ten minutes of action, as the Wildcats picked up a 4-0 win over the Mount Pleasant boys’ soccer team last night in the nightcap of a varsity doubleheader.

The Wildcats extended their lead to 3-0 before half and added the lone tally after the break.

Mount Pleasant will have a couple of days to lick their wounds before opening Southeast Conference action Thursday at home versus Keokuk.

Match time is set for 4:30 p.m. at East Lake Park.
