Monthly Veteran’s breakfast at the Moose Lodge in Mount Pleasant. Third Friday of the month, the time for gathering is 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Speakers will be present at each breakfast.

Today is the deadline to register for the HCHC Diabetes Group Class that will be held May 22. This diabetes education class open to anyone who has Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. The class is 8:30 to 2:30 p.m. in Suite 25. There is a fee; however, many insurance plans cover the program. The Mount Pleasant Children’s Discovery Center is open from 10 am to noon. The Center is located on the east side of the Public Library/Civic Center on East Monroe Street.

Ladies for Charity Rummage Sale from 9 am to 5 pm at St. Alphonsus Manning Hall, 607 South Jackson in Mount Pleasant. The sale will continue will free will offering on Saturday from 9 am to noon.
