Monthly Veteran’s breakfast at the Moose Lodge in Mount Pleasant. Third Friday of the month, the time for gathering is 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Speakers will be present at each breakfast.

Henry County Leadership is designed to provide our communities with an enduring source of diverse leaders who are prepared and committed to serving their region. As a skills -building program, Henry County Leadership aims to identify and motivate emerging community leaders; provide an educational experience with a strong emphasis on both leadership skills and community awareness; and challenge participants to apply their talents within their community while providing an opportunity to become involved. Mike DeSpain will present a program about the B-24 Liberator Bomber known as “Rhode Island Red” at the Dover Museum in New London on Sunday afternoon.  Mike’s father, Glen DeSpain, was a crew member aboard this plane during WWII.  A model of the plane is on display at the Dover Museum.  The program starts at 1:30pm on Sunday, September 17th: refreshments will be served afterwards.
